Business Manager

Part-Time (25–30 hours/week) | Reports to: Executive Director

Role Purpose

The Business Manager is RCM’s backbone — ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role serves as a strategic controller, overseeing finance, HR compliance, IT, purchasing, and data systems, while providing leadership with the forecasting and tools needed to scale toward RCM’s long-term vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and oversee accounts payable/receivable.
  • Produce monthly forecasts and support annual budgeting.
  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial standards, payroll, and HR policies.
  • Oversee IT systems, vendor contracts, and purchasing.
  • Coordinate with Facilities Manager to ensure operational readiness.
  • Produce organizational dashboards to support decision-making.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in nonprofit finance, operations, or business management.
  • Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting and compliance standards.
  • Skilled in financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with HR compliance (payroll, benefits, contracts).
  • Strong IT/system orientation.
